Preseason Polls

| Big West Preseason Poll | Hawaii Release |

The Big West has announced the 2015 Preseason Poll with Hawaii picked to win the conference for its fourth straight season. This poll is voted by the coaches of the Big West. Hawaii received eight first place votes this year as they return twelve players and welcome four newcomers.

Behind Hawaii was Long Beach State, UC Santa Barbara, and CSUN. Head Coach Dave Shoji voted for Long Beach State to win the conference as he is unable to vote for his own team.

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) has announced the 2015 Women's Volleyball Preseason Poll today with the Rainbow Wahine coming in ranked at #18. In the final poll of the 2014 season, Hawaii finished at #23 and have graduated three players from that team.

Other than UH, there were a few 2015 opponents that appeared in the poll. Florida (#4) and UCLA (#20) were in the Top 25 while Long Beach State (#26), Oregon State (#29), Wichita State (#39), and American (#42) received votes.

*Note: Dave Shoji has not voted in the AVCA the past few seasons, he most likely did not vote in this one as well
