Coaching Change Lands Wahine A New Recruit

After weeks of speculation through forums and blogs of a new player added to the Rainbow Wahine Volleyball team, the answer was revealed today through social media. Natasha Burns (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) who is a 6'5" middle blocker has committed to Hawaii according to her twitter.

Burns previously signed with the University of West Virginia but after the departing head coach, a few current and future players left the team. Three players have transferred out of the program and are heading to Pac-12 schools while Burns decommitted and chose to be a Rainbow Wahine. Before signing to be a Mountaineer, she was recruited by schools like Central Florida, Georgia Southern, and Seattle. She currently is at St. Mary's Catholic HS and plays for Defensa Volleyball Club.
